The 2012 Virginia Cross Country Series begins March 18th at Lake Sugar Tree MX Park in Axton, Va. Here are the specifics:

March 18th Lake Sugar Tree Round #1

Physical address: 400 Movie Movers East Axton, Va. 24054

One day format. No practice.

Directions:

From Route 58 (between Danville and Martinsville) turn on Rt. 617 and go 1 mile to track entrance on the left.

Course:

6.0 miles in length. Includes woods, fields, and MX track.

AA 250A 4Str. A Vet A Senior A / Super Senior A, Masters

200B 250B 4Str. B Vet B Senior B Super Senior B, Women

200C 250C 4Str. C Vet C Senior C Super Senior C 50cc 65cc 85cc (7-11) 85cc (12-15) 105cc (12-15) Adult Pit Bike

2011 Quad Classes:

AA Open A Vet Senior Super Senior

Light B Open B Women Utility Light C Open C Youth Production Jr. ATV(50cc) Youth ATV (70- 90 stock, 70- 90 Mod)

Sunday Start Times: Entry Fees:

8:00 am – 8:30 am 50cc bikes $20

8:00 am – 9:00 am 65cc – 105cc bikes $25

8:40 am – 9:10 am Jr. and Youth ATV $20

9:30 am – 10:00 am Adult Pit Bike $25

10:30am – 12:30 pm Adult bikes* $40

1:30 pm – 3:30 pm Adult quads* $40

*except AA classes, which are $50

Misc. Fees:

Gate fee: $10 ,under 6 free. Wristbands will be provided for those entering on Saturday.

Primitive camping: $10 per vehicle. Lake Sugar Tree has (8) “full” hookups available. They are rented on a first come-first serve basis.

VXCS membership: $FREE in 2012! Everyone runs a points paying class.

AMA membership: $39

Misc. Information:

This is an AMA-sanctioned event. You must be an AMA member to participate. Memberships are available at signup.

Gates will open at 10:00am on Saturday and close at 10:00pm. Gates will reopen on Sunday at 6:30am.

Sign up will open at 2pm on Saturday and close at 7pm. Sign up will re-open on Sunday at 7:00am.

Signup for each of Sunday’s events closes 15 minutes prior to the posted start time of the event.

No practice is allowed on the woods course. Lake Sugar Tree will have an open MX practice on Saturday until 3pm.

No pit riding. We will impound your bike or quad if we catch you.

There will be concessions available on Sunday.

AA Bike Payout: 1st ($250) 2nd ($150) 3rd ($125) AA Quad Payout: 1st ($200) 2nd ($100) 3rd ($75)
